This is so true.  I’d say Mei does most of this still. Though I save time by not putting dry clothes in the dryer.  It’s a time saver.  Sometimes I just don’t take clothes out of the dryer at all.  Sometimes I don’t take them out of the washer…that’s not a time saver though.  It usually puts me more behind.

I need this sign for my laundry area.

I need this sign for my laundry area.

It’s Friday, and we’ve been on vacation for a week now, and all I can say is…is it Monday yet?  I love my kids, but seven hells…nothing gets done when they are home.  Worse, the weather is super cold, there’s too much snow and I can’t even kick them out for a few hours.  I always laugh when I watch those house buying shows on HGtv and the people are like “omg it’s so small…only 3000 square feet?”  Yeah, try living in a 1000 square foot house.  With five people. While being trapped by snow and cold and ice.

We do pretty well, to be honest.  Just don’t ask me to find anything.  Organized is a foreign word.  And on school vacation weeks like this, I feel like everything is bare minimum.  Load of laundry done? Check.  Dishes in the dishwasher?  Check.  Vacuum?  Maybe in an hour.  Dusting?  Ummmmmmm….

Yesterday I ended up frogging all the mitt I had done.  It was pretty much “crap, dropped a stitch.”  *Tries to fix, but it’s a ssk stitch* *frogs a bit more* “Crap, I’m gonna have to pull out a whole row…” *Pulls out and realizes it’s a more complicated pattern and harder to frog*  “Nooooooo!”  *cries as I pull out the entire thing…30+ rows* The only real plus is that it was a really fast knit.  I’ll have to be super careful though, because I think I’d seriously cry if I made the same mistake twice.  Or maybe I’d have to find a tutorial on how to save ssk yo stitches.

Yeah. "Memories" is my excuse for sure.

Yeah. “Making memories” is my excuse for sure. 😉

S yeah, this week has just been a bad week for yarning…and having quiet moments to myself.  Does anyone remember what quiet sounded like?
