Moon Prism Power….Make Up!

Oh

GOD!!!

GOD!!!

I AM SO EXCITED.

I AM SO EXCITED.

Seriously, I’m really excited for the new Sailor Moon.  It’s like an early birthday gift for me, though now I have to pay for CrunchyRoll.  I have no regrets.

In celebration, let’s talk Sailor Moon…and make up.  Geekchic cosmetics recently introduced a new “color of the month” and May’s color was “Pretty Guardian”.  Described as a candy floss pink with a slight orange undertone with a punch of golden sparkle, it’s a perfect base or a blush.  It’s a really soft pink, almost too soft for me skin coloring which tends to be darker.  It makes for a really nice nude color for me.  It sparkles nice, and at some point, I will have to try it as a blush, or even a lipstick.  (I’ll have to look to see if it’s lip safe.)

Hard to see- I used pretty guardian as a base, with golden trio (from the Harry Potter collection) and Far over Misty Mountains Cold (Lord of the rings collection).

Geekchic’s stuff is  100% vegan and cruelty Free. They are irritant-avoidant, so no parabens and other nasty stuff.  It’s filler-free and original- everything is hand blended.  Your order can take a week or two because of this but it’s entirely worth the wait.  Don’t believe me? They have samples and you can try it yourself!  My collection is growing, and I don’t even wear make up that often.  And of course, just as I swear off another order, June’s color of the month, The Last Cetra, tells me I’ve lied to myself, and will probably place an order again in June.

I post selfies on occasion, usually when I’m wearing make up from geekchic, so you can see the colors there, but I highly recommend giving it a try yourself.  I find their prices reasonable, including shipping.  My biggest peeve is the $10 order  requirement, which sucks when you’re trying to stay on a budget and they have these fantastic Color of the Month events.  When I can say “It’s only 5.99” as opposed to “well, I have to spend $10, and then pay for shipping…” when trying to convince the husband…well you can guess which is more persuasive.

Just don’t look for “Pretty Guardian.”  Sadly, once color of the month is over, it’s gone.
